The Crime Watch program is designed to enhance neighborhood security, heighten the community’s power of observation, and encourage mutual assistance and concern among neighbors, by educating residents in the ways to avoid becoming a victim; encouraging reporting of suspicious activities to the Police Services Department; and providing timely information on crimes to residents of affected neighborhoods. Crime Watch cooperates with the Crime Prevention Unit of the Police Services Department.
